Adolescence is a particularly challenging and exciting stage of development as teenagers are developing a sense of self and identity. It can be hard for teens to navigate today’s stressors including school demands, changes in family and peer dynamics, and the ever present influence of social media. Therapy can provide adolescents with positive skills to cope with the changes and challenges they face. Therapy does not have to be reserved for life altering events or major concerns-it can also help prevent minor issues from turning into major problems.
