Amanda Ferris, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience in the field of mental health. My perspectives as a clinician are informed by a foundation in music therapy, a commitment to social justice, and a passion for affirming the dignity and worth of each human experience. I believe in the individual potential toward growth and healing, and look forward to supporting your goals in that direction.
My approach to counseling is warm, inviting, and collaborative. My social work career focus has been on supporting people with chronic illness and their caregivers. I most often utilize solution-focused brief interventions, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to address anxiety, depression, and grief associated with loss and life transitions. I practice from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive humanistic framework.
I received my MSW from Arizona State University and enjoy hiking, traveling, and gardening in my free time.
